About Us
Native Soil Inc was founded in 2015 based out of Oakland, CA. We specialize in landscape construction, including new irrigation systems, planting, decomposed granite, artificial turf, and natural turf installations. Our team consists of Cal Poly alumni as well as a foreman that have been in the landscape industry for over 30 years. We are family-owned and operated and can turn a set of plans into a reality within an enjoyable family work environment.
We Offer Exceptional Services
Flagstone installation
Natural stone has a beautiful and everlasting effect. We have highly skilled masons that can build a beautiful flagstone patio or walkway, using techniques that date thousands of years back. We strive to keep our joints and cuts natural as possible and can turn a pile of stones into a livable and enjoyable space, full of life and color.
Irrigation Upgrades and Installation
We can install a new irrigation system including main lines, master and zone valves, laterals, flow/rain/moisture sensors, smart clocks, sprinklers systems, in-line and point source drip systems. We also provide irrigation upgrades and can retrofit outdated irrigation systems converting sprinklers to drip and installing water-saving sprinklers and nozzles with check valves and pressure regulators.

Landscape Maintenance
We offer ongoing maintenance to your newly redesigned or existing garden. Proper maintenance is critical for the longevity of your project and keeps it looking brand-new. This service includes but is not limited to the following: mowing, lawn fertilization, and pest control, spring cleanup, spring mulching, leaf removal, edging, and trimming.
Planting
We take a lot of care when planting as we work with living materials that can die with too much or too little water. When we plant we dig a pit twice the size of the plant and fill it up with water at least twice. We use soil amendments based on recommendations from soil lab tests and fertilize our plants with slow realize fertilizer to ensure the ultimate health of the plant. Each plant is treated with care and respect and keeping gardens healthy for many years.
